Appreciation
Appreciation is one of the greatest gifts. The ability to stop to observe and to absorb a moment, a place, a thing, to truly appreciate it, is a wonderful sensation.
Before the Camera
It is this moment that I find most enjoyable about photography—the moment before I get the camera out of the bag.
Same River
We are, ultimately, one constantly changing entity, always learning and adapting to one another.
Persistence
After sitting on a rock at the edge of the river, in stunned disbelief for several moments, I took a breath and reflected on where I was.

Story. There is considerable discussion about the story told in a photograph. Many photographers do this very well. Convey some sense of story in their images. I agree with this concept. I love the idea of telling a story with and through my pictures. But it is something I struggle with.

Two Sides to Every Photograph
There are always two sides to every story, just as there are two sides to every photograph—that of the photographer and that of the viewer.
