Going old school.
I recently bought a Minolta srT101 35mm film camera. I was feeling nostalgic -- it was the camera I used in high school. My original thought was simply to put it on a shelf at home and remember the good old days. But then I got to thinking, "Why not put some film in it and use it?" So… I bought some film and out the door I went. It’s good to step back and simplify the process. Just light, a lens and a camera. Nothing else. No in-camera settings, no custom functions, no HDR processing. Just focus and shoot. It forces me to slow down and think about composition, lighting, and subject. A true return to basics. I haven’t developed any of the film yet, but am excited to see the results.
I’m having fun.
And yes, I do still look at the back of the camera after each shot.
